What We Are (Core Misunderstandings)

8

No, we're NOT retargeting. We specialize in upper-funnel new customer acquisition through premium publishers using performance-based CPA pricing.

What we ARE:

New customer acquisition specialists (finding people who've never heard of your brand)
Premium display advertising on editorial content (Forbes, CNN, Yahoo, WSJ, Vogue, BBC)
CPA-only pricing (you only pay when they convert)
AI-powered behavioral audience modeling

What we're NOT:

Retargeting/Remarketing (we don't follow your existing visitors)
Generic Programmatic (we curate premium inventory only)
SEM/PPC (we're display ads on editorial content, not search ads)
Media buying agency (we're technology + managed service)

We're display advertising only. NOT SEM/PPC.

Our channels:

Display ads on premium editorial content (articles, reviews, blog posts)
Mobile + desktop optimized
Contextually relevant placements

We are NOT:

Google Search Ads (SEM)
Paid social (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)
Retargeting/remarketing
Programmatic low-quality networks

Why this distinction matters: Display reaches new customers actively consuming relevant content. SEM targets only people searching for keywords. Display is upper-funnel discovery; SEM is bottom-funnel conversion. We specialize in bringing new audiences to your brand.

Neither. We're a specialized technology platform with managed service.

We're NOT:

A media buying agency (we don't charge retainers or planning fees)
Generic programmatic (we hand-curate premium inventory)
A black box (you get full transparency on placements and performance)

We ARE:

Technology platform with AI-powered optimization
Managed service (our team handles all optimization)
Performance-based partner (we only earn when you earn)
Premium publisher specialist (Tier-1 inventory only)

Five critical differences:

1.Premium Publishers Only: We have direct relationships with Forbes, CNN, Yahoo, Wall Street Journal, Vogue, BBC, The Guardian. Not low-quality spam networks.
2.CPA-Only Pricing: You pay zero until you get a sale. Generic programmatic charges CPM regardless of results.
3.Full Transparency: You see exactly which publishers drive conversions. Not a black box.
4.Behavioral Optimization: Our AI learns which customer types convert best and optimizes accordingly.
5.Guaranteed ROAS: We guarantee 12-16x ROAS by day 90 or we work for free until we hit it. Generic programmatic makes no guarantees.

No guaranteed specific placements, but contextual targeting ensures relevance.

Why we don't guarantee specific sites:

We optimize for PERFORMANCE, not vanity placements. If Forbes converts poorly but Yahoo converts great for your product, we'll shift budget to Yahoo.

What we DO guarantee:

Premium publisher inventory (Forbes, CNN, Yahoo, WSJ, Vogue, BBC, etc.)
Contextual relevance (tech products on tech articles, fashion on fashion content)
12-16x ROAS by day 90
Full transparency on which publishers drive conversions

Why this is better: You get high-intent audiences in relevant content, continuously optimized for best conversions. You avoid irrelevant placements and wasted spend.

No—full transparency. Here's exactly what the pixel tracks:

Data Collected:

Product viewed
Product category
Price/AOV
Conversion event (sale/lead)
Customer value (LTV signals)
Geographic origin
Device type

What You See in Reporting:

Traffic sources (which publishers drove conversions)
Performance by geographic region
Performance by product/category
Conversion cohorts and customer behavior
Real-time ROI data

NOT a black box: You can see exactly which publishers, categories, and customer types are driving conversions. All conversion data is verified through your affiliate platform—you don't have to trust us, you trust your own affiliate network's tracking.

Honest answer: The pixel is essential for our 12-16x ROAS optimization.

Without customer journey tracking, we can't:

Optimize for high-value customers
Run behavioral lookalike modeling
Create audience segments based on actual buyer behavior
Test different messages with different user types

What we could do (not recommended):

Run campaigns with basic tracking
Expect 4-6x ROAS (not 12-16x)
Less optimization capability
Wasted budget during learning phase

Better alternative:

Implement GTM pixel (10-15 min, no risk)
We'll do a staging environment test first
Your IT team can review and approve
Then go live with full optimization

If you have concerns: We can schedule a technical call with your IT team to address specific security or performance concerns. Most brands find our GTM implementation is much easier than expected.

We're honest about this. We probably won't work together if:

1.You want instant results without setup: We need 10-15 min pixel setup + 7-14 days optimization. If you expect day 1 performance, we're not your partner.
2.Your CPA offer is too low (<5% of AOV): At $108 AOV, we need minimum $5-11 CPA to sustain quality campaigns.
3.High return/cancellation rates (>20%): If 1 in 5 customers return the product, our profitability breaks. We optimize for profitable customers, not volume.
4.You don't have permission to add GTM: This is essential for our 12-16x ROAS. If you absolutely can't implement tracking, we can't deliver results.
5.Your website/products are low quality: Outdated design, broken checkout, poor reviews. We drive traffic; we can't fix product/UX issues.
6.You're in restricted verticals: Adult content, illegal substances, MLM schemes, unlicensed gambling, prescription medications without proper channels.
7.You want guaranteed specific placements: We optimize contextually for ROAS, not by specific site. If you need guaranteed Forbes placement, we're not it.

Getting Started with Affiliate Marketing: Basic Knowledge for Merchants

5

The validation rate indicates how many of the conversions reported by the publisher are recognized as valid by the advertiser after review.

Not all reported transactions meet the advertiser's conditions. Reasons may include:

· Cancellations or returns

· Duplicate conversions (e.g., through multiple tracking)

· Incorrect or invalid discount codes

· Fraud or inadmissible traffic

Affiliate Marketing is an internet-based commission model where advertisers pay a commission to partners (affiliates/publishers) for successful actions (e.g., sales, leads).

The main players are: Advertisers, Affiliates/Publishers, Customers/Users and Affiliate Networks.

Performance-based (costs only on success), broad reach, scalability, utilizing affiliate expertise.

Modern Monetization: Diverse Affiliate Models

11

Content Websites, Price Comparison Sites, Display Publishers, Cashback Portals, Coupon Sites, Deal Websites, Social Media Affiliates and more.

Websites that offer high-quality content (articles, blog posts, reviews) on a topic and integrate relevant affiliate links for product recommendations.

A DSP is a platform for advertisers and agencies through which they can automatically purchase advertising space. It connects advertisers with many Ad Exchanges and Ad Networks to centrally control reach and targeting.

An Ad Exchange is a digital marketplace where advertising space is traded in real-time. Publishers offer their inventories here, advertisers purchase them via DSPs. The auction usually works according to the Real-Time Bidding (RTB) principle.

An Ad Network bundles advertising space from various publishers and sells them packaged to advertisers. Unlike the Ad Exchange, it is less transparent and often package-based (e.g., "reach in lifestyle portals").

DSPs are used by advertisers, agencies or trading desks to efficiently plan campaigns, control budgets and implement targeting (e.g., retargeting, geo, interests).

Ad Exchanges are mainly used by publishers (who provide inventory) and DSPs (who purchase inventory). They form the technical infrastructure for trading.

Ad Networks are often used by advertisers who want to buy reach without their own DSP or complex setup. Smaller publishers also benefit by gaining easier access to advertisers.

Deduplication refers to the process where duplicate transactions between two affiliates in the same network are avoided, so that only one commission is awarded.

The conversion pixel is crucial to precisely determine which affiliate the conversion is attributed to. The affiliate ID must be passed in the pixel.

A Seed ID is a unique identifier (e.g., a user, ad group or creative ID) that serves as the basis (seed) for certain targeting or bidding strategies. In a private marketplace or deal (Private Auction / Preferred Deal), the Seed ID allows targeted approach to an existing user cluster or the generation of Lookalike Audiences.

Performance Turbo for Your Business: Display & Retargeting

9

A high new customer rate indicates successful targeting of new audiences and a positive effect of the affiliate campaign.

Private Bidding offers more control over ad placements and conditions than open trading on Ad Exchanges. Benefits include: Exclusivity, access to premium inventory and audiences. Control, higher control over placement and audience. Efficiency, direct negotiations and automated processes.

The use of display ads (banners) for new customer acquisition (prospecting), where the focus is on measurable actions (sales, leads).

Targeting users who have already visited a website but haven't converted, with targeted ads to encourage them to return and purchase.

Prospecting aims at new customer acquisition, while retargeting aims to re-engage already interested users.

It targets users who have already shown interest, which can lead to higher conversion rates.

It targets users who have already shown interest, which can lead to higher conversion rates.

By showing products the user has previously viewed, or through specific offers based on their behavior.

Limiting the number of times an ad is shown to a user within a certain time period to avoid oversaturation.

Your Partner Program: Setup, Optimization and Collaboration

8

Register with an affiliate network and provide advertising materials.

A partner program is an advertiser's individual offer for affiliates. The choice of the right partner, like Trafficpark, depends on your niche, products and desired goals.

They provide a platform for advertisers to manage their programs and for affiliates to find and register for programs.

Platform for technical and financial handling between merchants and affiliates.

Sales basis (CPO), Lead basis (CPL), Click basis (CPC).

Tracking, hosting of advertising materials, product feeds.

Reach, costs, service quality.

Direct support vs. mediation through networks.

Legal Security & Quality: What Merchants Need to Know

5

Data protection, imprint obligation, advertising labeling, copyright.

The service provider (website operator) is responsible for their own content according to § 7 (1) TMG.

A complete imprint is legally required in Germany and creates trust among users and partners.

Advertisers and networks as well as partners like Trafficpark review your traffic sources to avoid fraud and undesirable methods and ensure high traffic quality.

Open Source Privacy-First Analytics Stack:

Open Source GA4 Alternative:

Analytics platforms like PostHog or Plausible provide GDPR-compliant event tracking without third-party cookies. They track user behavior while respecting privacy—no cookie consent required in many regions.

Open Source Tag Manager:

Platforms like Tealium or self-hosted solutions manage tracking pixels, scripts, and data collection without relying on Google Tag Manager. They ensure your tracking stays compliant and transparent.

IAB Compatible CMP:

A Consent Management Platform handles cookie consent and user preferences according to IAB TCF (Transparency and Consent Framework) 2.0 standards. This ensures:

Users can granularly control data collection
Publishers stay GDPR/ePrivacy compliant
Advertisers like Trafficpark get clear consent signals for tracking

Why It Matters:

Using privacy-respecting, open source tools for analytics and consent means you're transparent with users, compliant with regulations, and building trust—not collecting data aggressively.

Measuring Success & Future Trends: Your Path to Growth

8

Central element for generating targeted traffic.

Regular analyses of conversion and affiliate performance.

Earnings per Click shows how much revenue or commission a publisher earns on average per click. The higher the EPC, the more profitable the campaign from a publisher's perspective.

Formula: EPC = Number of Clicks / Commissions

Conversion Rate shows the percentage of users who performed a desired action after a click or impression.

Example: 100 clicks, 5 conversions = CVR = 5%

First-Party Tracking means that data is collected directly by the website or app that the user is currently visiting. The cookies or scripts belong to the domain visible in the browser.

Third-Party Tracking means that external providers (e.g., ad servers, advertising networks or analytics services) collect data about users - often across multiple websites. The cookies do not come from the visited domain.

For both advertisers and partners like Trafficpark, it is crucial to transparently track performance and traffic origin. This creates trust and enables continuous optimization of your marketing spend.

Capturing and analyzing all touchpoints from first contact to purchase. Customer Journey Tracking is a must today if you want to manage Affiliate Marketing sustainably, fairly and performance-oriented. Especially in combination with success-based billing, it's the key to making a publisher's true added value visible - not just the last click.

Technical Setup & Pixel Implementation

5

Yes, we need a pixel—but it's much simpler than you think.

Implementation: Google Tag Manager (GTM) — not hardcoding directly into your site.

Why GTM?

Industry-standard, non-invasive method
Takes 10-15 minutes to set up
Zero impact on site performance or Core Web Vitals
Fully GDPR compliant with consent management macros
Async loading—no script slowdowns

What we provide:

Pre-configured GTM container (.json file)
Complete implementation guide
Technical support throughout setup
You can invite us to your GTM container at info@trafficpark.net

If GTM isn't possible: Server-to-server (S2S) postback URLs available for some setups. We work with your IT team to find solutions.

We understand. Here's our answer: The pixel is essential for our 12-16x ROAS optimization.

Without customer journey tracking, we can't:

Optimize for high-value customers
Run behavioral lookalike modeling
Create audience segments based on actual buyer behavior
Test different messages with different user types

However, if you have concerns:

1.We can schedule a technical call with your IT team to address specific concerns
2.Our GTM implementation is non-invasive and can be tested in a staging environment first
3.We provide full documentation and support for compliance review

Note: Most brands with strict requirements find our GTM implementation actually improves their security posture because it's managed, auditable, and consent-compliant.

In some cases, yes.

S2S works when:

Your affiliate platform or CRM has S2S integration capability
You can pass conversion data to us via a postback URL
Your IT team prefers this method to GTM

Limitations:

S2S is less detailed than pixel tracking (no behavioral data)
Less sophisticated optimization capability
Typically lower ROAS than pixel-based tracking

Our recommendation: GTM pixel (10-15 min setup) gives you superior results, but we'll work with S2S if that's your requirement.

Four simple things:

1.Pixel Implementation (10-15 min)
Add our GTM container to your Google Tag Manager
OR integrate S2S postback if GTM not possible
We provide full setup guide
2.Banner Creatives (Standard IAB Sizes)
728x90 (Leaderboard)
468x60 (Full Banner)
300x250 (Medium Rectangle - mobile optimized)
300x600 (Half Page - mobile optimized)
160x600 (Wide Skyscraper)
120x600 (Standard Skyscraper)

Or: We can work with existing assets and optimize them

3.Deep Links
Category pages (e.g., /women/shoes, /electronics/laptops)
Product detail pages (individual product URLs)
This lets us optimize which products drive best performance
4.CPA Rate & Attribution Setup
Your maximum CPA (we optimize to beat it)
One unique attribution link per geographic region

That's it. No minimums, no setup fees, no contracts.

No detailed feed required.

We don't need:

Full product CSV uploads
Inventory spreadsheets
Complex data structure setup

We work with:

Category pages (automated product discovery)
Product detail pages (we find best performers)
Basic product naming in deep links

Why? Our behavioral optimization learns which products perform best. We don't need to forecast it.

Pricing & Financial Model

3

100% CPA-only. That's it. Nothing else.

What you pay:

Commission per approved conversion (you set the CPA rate)
That's it.

What you DON'T pay:

No setup fees
No platform fees
No monthly retainers
No minimum ad spend
No performance guarantees you don't hit
Zero upfront cost

How it works:

1.You set a CPA rate (e.g., €30 per sale)
2.We run campaigns
3.We only earn commission when your affiliate platform confirms a conversion
4.You only pay on approved, tracked conversions

There is genuinely zero financial risk to test this.

Depends on your margin and industry.

General guidance:

Must be profitable for you: CPA should be 20-35% of your AOV
Must be competitive for us: We typically work with CPA rates of $16-108+ depending on product

Example:

AOV $108 → CPA $22-38
AOV $540 → CPA $81-162
Luxury AOV $2,160+ → CPA $324-540

How we work with you:

You set your maximum CPA based on profitability
We optimize to hit or beat that rate
If we can't achieve it profitably, we tell you upfront

No minimums whatsoever.

Zero requirements:

No minimum monthly traffic
No minimum conversion targets
No minimum ad spend commitments
No revenue size threshold
No "you must do $X/month" clauses

We work with:

Startups doing $1.1K/month revenue
Mid-market doing $540K/month
Enterprise doing $10.8M+/month

Why? More data = better optimization. We'd rather start small and grow together than require big upfront commitments.

Performance, Results & Geographic Coverage

4

Yes, this is our performance guarantee.

What 12-16x ROAS means:

You spend $1,080 on commissions
You generate $13,000-17,300 in revenue

Is it guaranteed?

By day 90: Yes. If we don't hit 12-16x ROAS by day 90, we optimize for free until we do
Ongoing: Performance typically holds at this level or improves with optimization

Important nuance:

ROAS = Revenue ÷ Commission spend
This is conservative (doesn't count organic halo effect, branding value, repeat customers)
Actual profitability is typically higher

Fast results, guarantee by day 90.

Timeline:

Days 1-7: Setup & activation
Days 8-21: First revenue visible ($3,200-8,600 in conversions, depending on your product)
Days 22-60: Optimization phase (20-30% weekly improvement)
Days 61-90: Guarantee locked in (12-16x ROAS confirmed)
Day 90+: Results typically hold or improve

Strong presence in 15+ markets, expanding.

Strongest Performance (Most Inventory & Best ROAS):

🇺🇸 United States • 🇬🇧 United Kingdom • 🇨🇦 Canada • 🇫🇷 France • 🇩🇪 Germany • 🇦🇺 Australia

Active & Growing:

🇮🇹 Italy • 🇪🇸 Spain • 🇨🇭 Switzerland • 🇳🇱 Netherlands • 🇸🇪 Sweden • 🇩🇰 Denmark • 🇳🇴 Norway • 🇫🇮 Finland • 🇧🇪 Belgium

Available (Smaller Inventory):

LATAM (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina)
Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary)
MENA (UAE, Saudi Arabia)
APAC (select markets)

Not currently serving:

China • Russia • Sanctioned countries

Yes, we have strong results across multiple verticals.

What we share:

General case studies by vertical (e-commerce, fashion, health, etc.)
Anonymized results (we respect NDA with clients)
Specific metrics: ROAS, CAC reduction, conversion lift
Timeline: how results evolved over 90 days

What we don't share:

Specific advertiser names (unless they approve)
Exact traffic/volume numbers (confidential)

Our strongest verticals by proven ROAS:

E-commerce (home, fashion, health): 12-16x consistently
Ticketing/Culture: 11-14x
Travel/Hospitality: 10-13x
B2B/SaaS: 9-12x (typically higher CAC, lower volume)
Food/Beverage: 11-15x

Reporting & Transparency

2

Full transparency. Not a black box.

You'll see:

Conversions by source (which publishers)
Conversions by geography
Conversions by product/category
Real-time ROAS
Cost per conversion
Traffic sources
Customer cohort data

You WON'T see:

Specific publisher names (we protect publisher relationships)
Individual user data (privacy compliant)
Raw click data (we report on conversions, not clicks)

Reporting access:

Real-time dashboard
Weekly/monthly reports
Custom reporting as needed

All tracking happens through your affiliate platform.

How verification works:

We push conversions to your affiliate network (Webgains, Effinity, Rakuten, Impact, CJ, etc.)
Your affiliate platform confirms and validates conversions
You see the same data in your affiliate dashboard
Independent verification by your platform

You don't have to trust us—you trust your affiliate network's tracking.

This is why pixel implementation matters: transparent attribution through your existing infrastructure.

Performance & Technical Details

7

Incrementality Assurance:

1.No Retargeting: We don't do it. Pure upper-funnel prospecting only—targeting users who've never visited your site.
2.Brand Queries: Zero brand keyword bidding. Display placements are contextual only (relevant articles, not search).
3.Channel Overlap: Last-click attribution via affiliate platform prevents cannibalization. If user clicks our ad then returns via Google/Facebook → those channels get the sale, we get €0.
4.Proof: 30-40% of our conversions are first-time customers (verified via affiliate platform data).

Why this matters: The affiliate platform's last-click model naturally prevents us from claiming credit if other channels convert the user first. We only earn commission if our click is the final touchpoint.

Attribution Windows & Controls:

Standard: 30-day click-through, zero view-through attribution.

Last-Click Protection: Affiliate platform auto-deduplicates. We only earn commission if our click is the final touchpoint before purchase.

Custom Controls Available:

Shorten to 14 or 7 days
Exclude specific geos
Exclude existing customer emails
A/B holdout testing (measure true lift)

You maintain full control over attribution rules through your affiliate platform settings.

Volume Projections:

Month 1-2: 50-150 conversions, €10K-€50K revenue

Month 3-6: 150-400 conversions, €50K-€200K revenue

Month 6+: 300-800 conversions, €100K-€400K revenue

Minimum CPA: €5 or 8% of sale value (whichever higher). Preferred: 10-15%.

Threshold: Need minimum 30-50 conversions/month for optimization. Below this volume, we can't gather sufficient data for AI optimization.

Pixel Dependency:

Our technology requires the pixel. There is no pixel-free option.

Without pixel = no lookalike modeling, no behavioral optimization, no journey tracking → we cannot operate.

Why the pixel is essential:

Identifies your best customers (by behavior, purchase value, product interest)
Enables AI to find 1000s more customers like them
Powers real-time optimization
Ensures we reach high-intent audiences contextually

Implementation is simple: GTM setup takes 10-15 minutes. No code needed, no performance impact, zero security risk.

Data & Privacy:

We Collect (Anonymous):

Page URLs, product IDs, cart events
Device type, city-level location
Purchase value, product category

We Don't Collect:

Names, emails, payment info
Login credentials, PII
Cookies or persistent identifiers

Privacy Compliance:

GDPR compliant (TCF 2.0, Vendor ID 657)
Consent management integration
30-day retention, then purged
HTTPS + AES-256 encryption
DPA available

Verification: All data flows through your affiliate platform. You control what data we access.

Attribution & Reporting:

Attribution: Last-click only (affiliate platform standard).

Weekly Reports Include:

Performance: Impressions, clicks, conversions, revenue, ROAS
Placement transparency: Publisher domains, specific URLs
Audience: Geo, device, new vs. returning, top products

Reporting Format: PDF, live dashboard, CSV export, or API.

What You See:
